There are a host of new dinosaur games and apps for the holidays.

These are just a few of the toys your budding paleontologist (or your old one) might have a yen for.

Dinosaur bones to be discovered with iDigger game

Bill Ward, president of Snapp! Designs, announces the release of iDigger, an archeological, kid-friendly game for the iPhone and iPod touch where the player can use archeological tools to discover fossilized bones of the T-Rex dinosaur. iDigger is a family-friendly game that provides educational features and is free of violence. While the target audience for iDigger is 10 and up, parents of children ages 8-14 will enjoy this non-violent, educational, and fun game for their kids.

The player starts out as a new and upcoming archeologist who is, according to the story line, trying to win the heart of a big shot doctor. In order to do this, the young scientist needs to gain some nobility so that his dream girl will notice him. He decides to make his own fossilized skeleton of a T-Rex.

Once the player chooses an area to dig on the excavation site, they can use the shovel to "tap and dig". The player will pick up any objects found lying in the dirt. It is then up to the player to decide whether they want to sift it or dust it off.

After each object is dusted or sifted off, the player has an option of answering a trivia question to double their score. Questions in the trivia feature are in multiple choice formats and relate to dinosaurs, archeology, and fossils. The trivia feature is a very educational aspect of this game and will surely challenge the minds of all ages.

iDigger is an exciting and new learning game that is fun, educational, violence-free, unique in game play on multiple dimensions, and challenges players to use a variety of skill sets.

"Designing and developing the iDigger game has been a labor of love for me from the beginning. I conceived of the game while digging for fossils with my son, Daniel, near my home in South Carolina. I wanted to create a fun and educational game that gives the user a true-to-life experience. We are also proud that the game is completely non-violent and is safe for young, developing minds." - said Bill Ward, President of Snapp! Designs.
