With Black Friday 2013 right around the corner, one of the hot items on many people’s must have list this season is a new tablet, but with so many on the market which one is the right one? Yes, it seems every tech company is now officially on the tablet band wagon which makes it a bit more difficult to decide which one to purchase when making a selection.
Apple, Amazon, Samsung, Google etc...you name it, they have a tablet!
Apple’s iPad Air and Amazon’s Kindle Fire HDX are just two of the newest tablets hitting the market in time for the holiday’s but with competition from Microsoft’s Surface 2 and several others it will be interesting to see how things stack up this holiday season.
According to a USA Today report on Oct. 29, The new iPad Air will debut in stores on Friday, Nov. 1 with a revamped iPad Mini to follow later in November.
However the real question is will customers be interested and will the new iPad sell well this holiday season?
Early indications may not be that great, but time will tell.
"I've had Apple products since I was this tall, and it's the first time they've come up with something I didn't care about," says Mitch Soileau of New Orleans. "It's thinner, it's smaller, but my original iPad wasn't that heavy to begin with."
"I got an iPad last year," says Emily Song, of San Francisco. "No reason to upgrade to the new one."
It does make you wonder if Apple comes out with new products too frequently or without enough new features to even have consumers interested in an upgrade.
Either way, the tablet war will be a strong one this holiday season!
