Another day and another new Black Friday 2013 ad leaked. According to the latest ad scan, a Toys R Us sales and deals flyer has been uploaded online for an early look at the specials they'll be offering this coming shopping day. The news arrives as Walmart and Amazon offer pre-Black Friday deals on their websites.
A report from BFAds.net on Nov. 4 indicates that Toys R Us will open at 5 p.m. EST on Thanksgiving night, with “Doorbusters” set to last until 9 p.m., making for a four-hour sale. There will be a variety of “limited offers with no rain checks and while supplies last.” BF Ads indicate that there won’t be any special Black Friday “early bird items” available, and that the rest of the ad (aside from doorbusters) will be valid through Saturday, Nov. 30.
Among the deals the site points out as worth looking into are a LeapFrog LeapPad 2 Explorer for $39.99, a Sony PlayStation 3 250GB bundle for $199.99, and a Skylanders SWAP Force Starter Pack for $37.49. There’s also a special listed for “Buy 1, Get 1 for $1” on select video games, as well as a $4.99 SanDisk 16GB Cruzer USB Flash Drive. The front of the flyer also notes that customers will “get $10 to spend” after spending $75 or more in the store on Thursday through Friday. The $10 is apparently for a future Toys R Us purchase and not that particular trip.
Toys R Us is among the first of the “big retailers” which also include Target, Best Buy, Walmart and Amazon, to have their sales flyer leaked. They’re also the first “real world” retailer of those companies to announce earlier hours on Thanksgiving than other retailers have so far. Stores including Macy’s, Kohl’s and JC Penney had already announced plans to open up at 8 p.m. EST on Thanksgiving night, so Toys R Us has upped the ante for the competition.
In all, the sales flyer is 28 pages on the online scan, features games, toys, electronics, DVD’s, Blu-rays and much more. It’s unclear as of this report if the Toys R Us website will be offering the same deals or different deals from what is currently shown in the scanned flyer.
