Black comic book festival in Harlem

Comic book enthusiasts can get a head start on Black History Month as they get their comic book fix at the Black Comic Book Festival in Harlem, New York City. This is a two day event, which begins on January 17, 2014 thru January 19, 2014 at The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in New York City.

The event will kick off on January 17 at 5:30 p.m. with a social event. Featured artists and cartoons for the weekend have not been announced yet. There are, however, interesting panel discussions scheduled with topics such as superheroes beyond the comic books and self-publishing.

While the event is free, registration for each day is still encouraged.
