Update 1/18/14: Aylen is safe! She was pulled by AmsterDog Animal Rescue on Saturday.

Another dog...sadly, tragically, devastatingly...there is always another dog whose life is at risk of being prematurely ended.

Aylen, a petite 36-pound, two-year-old dog, came to the New York Animal Care and Control in Manhattan as a stray on Jan. 10.

According to the Facebook networking page - Urgent Part 2 - Urgent Death Row Dogs, she is on the list to be destroyed on Jan. 15.

A volunteer shared the following words about Aylen:

Give this tiny little girl a buttscratch and she will be in seventh heaven on earth...She will pay you back a thousand times, showering you with kisses and overwhelming you with hugs...Aylen lays calmly in her kennel but as soon as she sees my eyes landing on hers, she is ready at her door, barely waiting to be leashed and pushing her face through the opening. Aylen is lively, friendly and sociable.

I think that she would make a lively, affectionate, fun to be with and almost portable pet companion if you give her the opportunity to become your forever best friend.

Aylen is young, vivacious, beautiful, huggable, lovable and fully deserving of living out her natural life. Please take a moment to network her information - the effort you make now may be the difference between her life and her death.
