Black Bears softball start a busy stretch in Florida

The University of Maine Black Bears softball team will start a stretch on Friday where they will play 24 games in 17 days.

The Black Bears will play five games this weekend at Clearwater, Florida.

On Friday, Maine (1-3) will take on Stephen F. Austin at 11 a.m. and Toledo at 1:15 p.m.

On Saturday, the Black Bears will play Illinois and St. Joseph's.

Maine will finish the weekend with a game against Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

The Black Bears softball team will continue the Florida trip through March 17th.

Maine will open conference play when they travel to UMBC for a three game weekend series starting on March 23rd.

The Black Bears are scheduled to play their home opener with a doubleheader against Albany on April 6th.
