Black Bears go for second straight conference win against Frame and the Wildcats

Four players scored in double figures to lead the University of Maine women's basketball team to a 67-51 victory over Stony Brook on Saturday.

It snapped a 15 game losing streak for the Black Bears.

Maine (2-18) will be looking for their second conference win on Tuesday evening when they travel to Durham, New Hampshire for a 7 p.m. contest against the University of New Hampshire Wildcats.

Freshman Liz Wood averaged 17 points and eight rebounds per game last week to earn her second consecutive and fourth overall America East Rookie of the Week award.

UNH (7-12/2-5) is coming off a 60-52 victory at Binghamton on Saturday.

Senior Morgan Frame from Waterville scored 23 points in the victory over Binghamton. Frame is averaging 11.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game for the Wildcats.
