Black Bears get conference win over Hartford

Justin Edwards scored 18 points including the game winning basket with under one second remaining to lift the University of Maine men's basketball team to a 66-64 victory Wednesday evening over Hartford.

Edwards also recorded eight rebounds and five assists.

Zarko Valjarevic added 17 points and hit four 3-pointers for the Black Bears.

Maine (10-15/5-7) outrebounded Hartford 32-21. The score was tied on 12 different occasions.

The Black Bears will play at Binghamton Saturday evening at 7 p.m.

The Black Bears have four games remaining on the regular season schedule. Three of those are on the road. The only home game remaining is scheduled for February 24th when they host Stony Brook.
