Black Bears fall short against Vermont

Orono, ME--- The University of Maine men's basketball team could not overcome a 12 point halftime deficit on Monday evening. 

The Black Bears got the game to within four points in the second half but could not get any closer as the University of Vermont Catamounts improved to 10-2 in the conference with a 73-63 victory over the Black Bears.

Gerald McLemore led the Black Bears in scoring with 20. Justin Edwards chipped in with 15 points and nine rebounds. Mike Allison added 10 points and eight rebounds. The rest of the Black Bears combined for only 18 points. 

Maine (11-11/5-6) will next play on Thursday, February 9th when they travel to Boston University.
