The University of Maine men's basketball team trailed by 17 points and were without leading scorer Justin Edwards.
That did not stop the Black Bears from coming back and cutting the lead to one point before falling to the University of New Hampshire Wildcats 57-54 on Wednesday evening.
Edwards left the game in the first half with an ankle injury.
Chandler Rhoads scored 18 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Wildcats. Chris Matagrano chipped in with 16 points and seven rebounds.
Alasdair Fraser led the Black Bears with 20 points, nine rebounds and one block.
