black bean dip!

This is the most decadent and unusual marriage and synchronicity of proteins and amino acids, iron and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) to deliver what’s considered a “complete protein”. All of which are achieved in the form of the often disparaged party food “dip.” Alas:

1 ½ c cooked black beans, or 16 oz can, rinsed

1 T molasses

1 T apple cider vinegar

t lime juice

¼ c chopped red onion

2 cloves garlic

1 small seeded tomato

¼ c soaked, drained raisins

¼ t black pepper

Blend all in food processor or blender, adding water for consistency if necessary.

Serve with chips or toasted baguette.
