A bizarre video surfaced on Thursday, June 28, 2011 that shows a calm starry night disrupted by a large expanding "bubble" or UFO in space that appears, then disappears, over the course of just a few brief seconds.
Although the possible UFO sighting is extremely short, it is fascinating. You can watch the clip by launching the video on the left side of this page, or by clicking this link.
What is really behind this unusual sight? UFO conspiracy theorists points to an unidentified flying object or opening of something called a "stargate," which is something like an intergalactic teleportation device.
Gary Fujihara of the University of Hawaii’s Institute for Astronomy believes the phenomenon has a more earthly explanation: “ . . . because the timescale of this episode is so short (and therefore quick), it would be atmospheric versus cosmic in nature. Perhaps fuel venting from a spacecraft or discarded upper-stage of a rocket? (quoted by The Economic Voice)."
The video was captured by a webcam at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope which is situated near the summit of Mauna Keathere. The sighting reportedly occurred just minutes after a test launch of a Minuteman III missile from California, so another theory is that the two events are related.
Since there has been no definitive explanation confirmed for the unusual, but beautiful sight, documented in the night sky of the Hawaiian sky, you can view the video on the left side of the page and draw your own conclusions.
