Even more bizarre is Dupree’s allegation that Homeland Security, the CIA, and FBI worked with Beyonce and Jay Z to spy on him in order to obtain his lyrics. Dupree named Chris Brown, Rihanna, and Kayne West as co-conspirators in the lyrics theft, and bases his claim of 2.4 Billion for the 3,000 songs the famous singers stole from him.

Dupree also wants his freedom. The suit was filed in the California Eastern District Court, Kings County. Plaintiff Richard J. Dupree, Jr’s named the nature of the suit a "civil rights claim". The pleading was filed on April 30, 2014.
