Bisons remain in the hunt at Mac's Midget Hockey Tournament

According to www.macstournament.ab.ca, the UFA Bisons out of Strathmore, Alberta (just east of Calgary) have had two respectable results to begin the Mac's Midget Hockey Tournament in Calgary.

The Bisons got a 4-4 tie against the Saskatoon Contacts on Boxing Day at Father David Bauer Arena, followed by a 4-4 tie against the Carolina Junior Hurricanes at the Max Bell Centre on Thursday.

Connor Boyd led the Bisons with a goal and assist in the Bisons' opening game against Saskatoon, and then Mason McCarty led the Bisons with a goal and an assist against the Hurricanes.

Even though the Bisons are winless, they remain the only unbeaten Calgary-based club in the tournament so far.

The Calgary Midget Flames, Calgary Northstars and Calgary Buffaloes are a combined 0-7, while the Calgary Royals are 1-1.

The Bisons will be playing the Lethbridge Pronghorns at the Max Bell Centre tonight at approximately 5:15pm and then the Okanagan Rockets at approximately 11:45am at Father David Bauer Arena on Sunday.
