The Knights, Triple-A International League affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, make their home at BB&T Ballpark. Located at 424 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in uptown Charlotte, the brand new stadium opened in March and seats 10,200 spectators.
From their establishment in 1976 until 1992, the Knights were a Double-A club; in 1993, they moved to Triple-A. Prior to their affiliation with the White Sox (beginning in 1999), they were affiliated with the Miami Marlins (1996 to 1998) and the Cleveland Indians (1993 to 1995).
BB&T Ballpark is the year-round home of “The Fuzzy Peach,” a North Carolina-based frozen treats store that features desserts including frozen yogurt, waffle cones and more. The Fuzzy peach is located behind the right field area overlooking Romare Bearden Park and next to the Knights’ team store, which is also open year-round.
Single-game tickets range in price from $8 to $25 for adults. For more information on the Knights and BB&T Ballpark, visit their website.
