Right now, a panel of four judges for each category are reading all the nominated books books and, in March, will narrow them down to a list of three to five finalists. The finalists will be announced in the second half of March. The judges will then select a winner from the list of finalists and all the winners will be announced in early June at the 25th Annual Lambda Literary Awards Ceremony.

*For the Lammy Awards, books can only be nominated by the publisher or author of the book. Becoming a finalist is what indicates the judges deemed the book to be special. And of course, being a winner means the same thing at any awards show.

Which 2012 books do the best job of exploring the theme of bisexuality? What do the authors have to say about their works? I'll let you know in future columns, coming soon.
