'Birthers' not going to leave it alone without sufficient answers

Real or forged? This copy is alleged to be of Barack Obama's Kenyan birth certificate

With all the persistent birther claims, which apparently are NOT going to go away, one must ask oneself a question. "Why doesn't Barack Hussein Obama simply produce the original Hawaiian birth certificate in lieu of the allegedly doctored prima facie (Latin meaning presumed to be true unless it is disproved) copy splashed all over the web?"

With all the evidence mounting - the AP article referring to Obama as “Kenyan born,” the Kenyan birth certificate, which may or may not be valid, the allegations that his social security number was drawn from the pool allocated for Connecticut residents, and most recently, the former Hawaiian Elections clerk’s allegations that there is NO US birth certificate, wouldn't one think the chief executive would be ready to “kick some ass” to use his parlance in order to silence his critics?

There are those who argue that to engage foes deemed “crackpots” by pundits across the political spectrum would be decidedly un-presidential and that the Barack Obama is doing the right thing by offering little to nothing in retort to the constant allegations.

But then, Mr. Obama hasn’t exactly concerned himself with upholding the dignity of the office of POTUS, having called people “stupid,” “jackass,” and more recently wondering who should get his foot in their hind parts over the Gulf oil spill crisis.

And speaking of his foot, wouldn’t it make sense for him to put his on a scanner or extra large inkpad so it might be compared with the baby foot print on the pesky Kenyan birth certificate and forever halt the whacky birther movement?

The Obama administration has consistently dismissed birthers as crazy internet conspiracy theorists, despite the fact that even highly intellectual black men like Alan Keyes (shown here with Obama) has also questioned the assertion that the president is a natural born citizen.

So why not put the proverbial money where the mouth is?

Wisdom and logic must surely dictate that offering the simplest concrete, not contrived, piece of proof would bring the matter to its long overdue conclusion.

Yet the White House behaves dismissively and lets slip the liberal dogs of war in the far left and main stream (fawning media) to do its bidding.

Frankly, even the birther movement must be bored with the subject, but to its credit will not settle for half-truths and arguably nugatory material intended to placate the so-called “crazies?”

Such political pugilism is well within the praxis of this administration, which has demonstrably fostered inspiration from the thugocrat milieu of rancorous Chicago style governing.

Why not throw the opposition a total south side curve ball and come clean with something tangible to muzzle the... It couldn’t possibly be that such evidence doesn’t exist could it?

Believing a hoax of such epic proportions could have been perpetrated on so grand a scale against so generally wise a people shakes one to the very core of one’s being. Perhaps many won’t even consider the possibility on that basis alone.

Regardless, the Obama White House’s apparent strategy to hunker down and immure itself from the onslaught of these accusations, must of necessity give way to a better dispensation. The current plan is totally insufficient for its intended purpose.

I believe Barack Obama was born in Kenya. I know that networks do not want to touch the birther subject simply because it would mean the demise of the network who PROVED Obama to be Kenyan born. The network that demonstrates Obama to be other than a natural born citizen would bring down the first black president. NO news organization is going to run with that story. As for the intent of the WH's allowing the story to linger, it's a perfect distraction. Why mess with it. ---"Let people worry about my birthplace, and not what I'm doing to destroy the country."
It's not like "Ok, if I bring out the Hawaiian birth cert, these people are going to suddenly start supporting me. These are my adversaries, NOT potential supporters!"
True it's disrespectful to NOT produce the birth cert and be done with it. But like you pointed out...since when has Barack Obama demonstrated ANY RESPECT for anything or anyone besides himself??? This is all Alinskian. Distract divide and conquor.

And let me just add....Conspiracy theorists have been around since the caveman. I'm sure there was a conspiracy about "the wheel". One caveman tribe probably thought it was invented by the other to distract them from making ropes with which to drag things around.

There are true conspiracies...and bogus conspiracies. MOST are bogus. I've found it interesting that one who believes in ONE conspiracy typically believes in FIFTY conspiracies. I've seen it all over the internet.

Now there are goons like Alex Jones who make MILLIONS of $$$ from conspiracies. (Jones' website has one of the largest Shop pages on the internet!) These idiots create and perpetuate conspiracies for big-$$$$. They know a certain percentage of the population indulge in rumor and sensationalism. Personally, I believe these people are some of the much talked about "false prophets". In any case, THESE are the "dangerous types"....NOT the Becks, FoxNews and Rush Limbaughs of the world!

Zero credibility. Birthers are idiots. Pull your head out, moron. On second thought, keep preaching your non-sense. You make all Bible thumping conservatives look like ignorant hicks. Which, come to think of it, is probably the truth.

    @Rose Red....you're so pretty!

To: Rose Red. You're an imbecile of such epic proportions, that debating you would be a monumental excercise in futility.

To Keith: If you were referring to the American People as "so generally wise a people", I respectfully disagree. If we were generally so wise a people we would not have put this left-wing socialist liar in office in the first place. The only thing that can restore my faith is if we bounce his ass out in Nov. 2010.

    CwB,

Oh the networks gave the story its due. They used the liar, liar rejoinder and exalted BHO more than they had already, bordering on martyr status.

I don't know where the man was born, nor is this column intended to affirm it wasn't here. But what continues to befuddle me is this. Can you imagine if someone made such an accusation against you that you would NOT immediately do what was necessary to put such charges to rest?

Why not have a forensic comparison of the footprint? Maybe he figures his foot is going to be to busy kicking someone's a** as he so undiplomatically put it. The American people deserve better than this. And one can take that any way they wish.

    Jeff:

Thanks as always for taking to time to opine and for dispatching ridiculous RR types.

I do think HISTORICALLY Americans have been a wise people and I stand by the comment. You have cited the single most glaring exception to that rule though and I cannot argue the point at all.

    Thanks again sir.

Maybe our issue is not Americans and their general wisdom, it's the fact that our wisdom as a people is being overshadowed by the voting illegals, the left-slanted media and the UN-American forces of foreigners infiltrating our populus, led by their fuher, Barack "Adolph" Hussien bin Laden Obama.

Which reminds me, Keith what has happened regarding your "mix up". I always thought you were fairly clear about what you did and did not do that night.
Besides, what happens in Wilmington stays in Wilmington if you know what I mean?

The paranoia has completely taken over your blog! Funny stuff. Please do continue!

Well my fine detractor, I should think you'd know about psychosis better than anyone else here. You're apparently schizo or you just can't decide on which asinine nom de plomb you prefer. Now for the 10,000th time, shoo, shoo.

Well put Jeff in PA. There is wisdom in your views.

No, Jeff in PA, did Obama now even change when Presidential elections are held?! Well congrats, and good luck on voting him out in Nov. of this year.
As for the birth certificate, I think it's pretty simple, actually. Hawaii digitized everything a few years ago, and screwed up and got rid of the originals. They can't produce the original, but won't admit it, and Obama won't embarrass them with that fact.
Is this the Kenyan one that was found to be a hoax last year?
One AP article says something, and that's evidence? Don't you think there would have been a LOT of those articles around? No chance that it was a mistake, huh?
And the social security # is explained by the fact that it's assigned not based on residency, but the return address of where it's filed, and Obama's father lived in CT for a time.

  • Sam Hill 1 year ago

Why not set the matter to rest once and for all and present the official US Birth Certificate?

Not doing so merely gives way to further suspicion and the public wondering what he has to hide. For sure his lack of transparency (which totally ignores his campaign promises of 'transparency')will limit him to a one-term president, if he even gets through the one term!

  • Sam Hill 1 year ago

Jack J...can you provide the source that Hawaii no longer has its original birth certificates after digitalizing them?

Seems like a stupid thing for a State government to do for obvious reasons, and I can't believe Hawaiians are that stupid.

  • Sam Hill 1 year ago

Just read the article from the link provided--why would a Kenyan news service (The Standard, LTD) care about a US Senatorial race if Obama was not Kenyan-born as the 2004 article states?

  • Jim 1 year ago

I am not sure what the whole birther movement is about. Is it dedicated to making Joe Biden president. If President Obama went on TV and said, "Gee, it has come to my attention that I was not born in the US", what do you think would happen? Do you think someone would magically make Sarah Palin president. Read the constitution. Joe Biden would become president. And if he couldn't serve, Nancy Pelosi. Get a grip on life.

  • Examiner 1 year ago

Sam - very good points. Nicely done.

I would add a tangiential question about the "digitizing" claim BHO's friend has made here. "Digitizing" is another way of saying "scanning." If the original was simply scanned or digitized why does it lack the normal signatures a birth certificate of that period would bear?

I for one don't know the answers to these questions nor have I decided on what I believe about it. Although it does seem as though the scales are tipped against Obama. But I do feel that these vitriolic rejoinders from left wing loons, e.g. "get a grip on life," and labeling individuals asking these valid questions as conspiracy crazies, is very telling.

Who's trying to hide what? May not be a darn thing. But answers are well deserved and not being offered.

Hawaii can still produce the original copies - they are still required for many purposes including Passports, from what I understand.

When doing research on my own birth certificate, I learned that the State of California specifically did not recognize the "Certifications of Live Birth" from Hawaii, only the "Certificates of Live Birth" because it did not meet the scrutiny standards of the State of California. Only Hawaii was mentioned.

Even if the printed one is correct, it is listed as having a date "received by registrar" not "Approved by State Registrar", which were two different fields on the old paper forms, the former only applying to receipt of paperwork by a local office.

Not sure what is wrong with this, but it just does not smell right.

Simply put, a person doesn't spend big bucks to hide information that they don't feel needs to be hidden. If there's nothing to hide, why spend so much money hiding it?
