Silent Unity 's calendar reminds us that Spring has sprung and we just celebrated Easter during the last day of March. We are still vibrating with the special meaning of Easter as we read the words on the calendar:
My Spirit Rises, Renewed and Reborn
The month of April is all about Nature and it is our very nature that evokes the truth of those words. Even in the areas where Spring makes several attempts to come into fullness, we feel that tingling in our thoughts and in our moods that prepare us for the eventual blossoming. Many a tulip, iris or calla lily has found its way through a blanket of fluffy snow to greet the warm sunshine. Just as deep within us swells a vibrancy that simply must continue to reawaken, renew and rebirth our focus upon Spirit as it quickens our thoughts in the springtime.
God planted those thoughts and feelings long before we were ever aware of them. They awaited the warmth of the season - and the blessings recognized during an Easter message to begin their germination. The essence of a springtime stirring may seem dormant during the winter months, but we continue to feed our soul the nutrients during our meditations and our gentle strolls through the beauty that a winter landscape provides.
We speak of nurturing those seeds within the soil of our thoughts - of gently and lovingly caring for our natural tendencies -- and see this time as a time of growth and expansion of love. Don't you just love the fragrances that greet your morning walks ... or the heady perfumes of an evening breeze, laced with the sweet trills of the birds. They, too, are finding a springtime urging as they build their nests and anticipate the hungry cries of their little ones.
The beauty of this deeply embedded garden within - is that it springs again and again into fruition, never losing its brilliance or its perfect moment to burst full bloom into glorious thoughts - warmed by Spirit's Love - kissed by soft rains of sudden wonder - and blessed by gentle words of encouragement when we seek God's voice in the Silence.
"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." - Ecclesiastes 3:1.
