The youth film camp program that brings a touch of Tinsel Town to the South is making big moves.

On The Set to debut in Atlanta, Georgia

On The Set which is based in Birmingham,Alabama is expanding to Atlanta, Georgia where it will make its debut this summer, according to a press release by camp officials on Monday.

Georgia youth interested in On The Set can register and audition for the program on Saturday May 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Georgia Tech University’s student center. Camp will be held from June 11th through the 20th.

Young aspiring filmmakers between the ages of 10 to 18 learn all facets of the moving making industry while working with a Hollywood star who also mentors them during the process. After a short film is made the campers are nominated for various awards with the winners announced at the movie’s premiere in the fall.

The program has had several well known stars to share their knowledge with the campers like actresses Tonea Stewart (“A Time to Kill”) and Wendy Raquel Robinson (“The Game”) and actors Darrin Henson (“Stomp the Yard”, “Black Coffee”) and Brian White (“Beauty and the Beast”). The 2014 celebrity mentor will be announced next month.
