The current trend in gaming has seen many titles bringing in some form of additional control system through the use of the Kinect, the Playstation Move, and Smartglass technology. Speaking to OXM on Thursday, Bioware’s Cameron Lee revealed that the developer has yet to decide whether Dragon Age: Inquisition will implement support for any of these supplemental devices.

Bioware is taking the opportunity provided from releasing the game a year after the next-gen system’s launch window to see how gamers react to the Kinect on Xbox One or the PS4 Move before they make any decision about including control schemes based around the voice recognition tools. Ultimately, if they aren’t received well, then players shouldn’t expect to see Dragon Age: Inquisition making use of the external features. Additionally, the developer likely won’t include support for these devices if their use simply doesn’t make sense within the upcoming installment of the Dragon Age franchise.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is scheduled to release in 2014.
