BioWare today announced the final two DLC for Mass Effect 3, both of which are due out in March. Reckoning will be a multiplayer pack for the game, and will evidently apply some of the decisions you made on your playthrough(s) of Mass Effect 3 to its multiplayer experience. Citadel, meanwhile, is a massive new DLC for the single-player side of the game, which will return Commander Shepard and the crew of the Normandy to -- as the title suggests -- the Citadel for one last adventure.
When a sinister conspiracy targets Commander Shepard, you and your team must uncover the truth, through battles and intrigue that range from the glamour of the Citadel's Wards to the top-secret Council Archives. Uncover the truth and fight alongside your squad – as well as the cast from the original Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, including Urdnot Wrex!
When the adventure is over, reconnect with your favorite characters from the Mass Effect Trilogy, try your luck at the Citadel's Silver Coast Casino, blow off steam in the Armax Combat Arena, or explore and furnish Shepard's own living quarters on the Citadel. With unique content and cinematics featuring your friends and romance interests in the Mass Effect trilogy, Mass Effect 3: Citadel offers one final chance to see the characters you have known for years and rekindle romances.
In other words, it'll be an exercise in fan service of the highest sort, bringing old friends back into the fold for one final mission romp through what are sure to be massive combat and exploration set-pieces. Hopefully, BioWare Edmonton -- who developed Citadel entirely on their own, without assistance from Montreal (which, yes, is unusual where Mass Effect DLC are concerned) -- will let us explore an expanded version of the Wards area from the first game, in addition to throwing new and exciting areas at us.
Oh, and of course, there will be new soundtrack pieces to look forward to as well:
Note the mention of romance interests in the BioWare blog post. I MAY have written a "positive" version of "I Was Lost Without You." Maybe.

I've been holding off finishing all my playthroughs of Mass Effect 3 until BioWare were done churning out new content for the single-player side of the game. It appears, then, that come March, I'll be able to dive back into the galaxy and finish my various characters' stories for good.
And then, just maybe, get started on that "worst readiness score possible" playthrough I've been slowly, incrementally planning over the last little while.
