It's hard to imagine someone who hasn’t experienced the original Bioshock. If you haven’t, or you’re looking for a definitive edition, you can’t go wrong with the Bioshock: Ultimate Rapture Edition. Not only do you get the all the DLC for both Bioshock 1 & 2, but the developers have also included a virtual museum for players to fawn over. As a bonus, you also get some Bioshock Infinite themed stickers, so feel free to sackboy something.
Here the the full list of the included DLC:
Bioshock
- Plasmids Pack: New Plasmids and Gene Tonics.
- Challenge Rooms Pack: Available on Xbox 360 for the first time.
Bioshock 2
- Sinclair Solutions Tester and Rapture Metro: All three are multiplayer packs, but the multiplayer is very dead.
- The Protector Trials: Six new combat maps to test your Plasmid fu.
- Minerva's Den: Arguably the best thing about Bioshock 2 is this separate narrative that too few people have played.
Bonus Content
- Virtual Museum of Orphaned Concepts
- Bioshock Infinite stickers
Not a bad package at all to get you ready for Bioshock Infinite. It’s still a little sad that nothing is happening for PC, because Bioshock 2 still suffers from sound issues and Games for Windows Live. We could possibly see the release of the Bioshock: Ultimate Rapture Edition on PC, but that’s being hopeful.
