Excited for “BioShock Infinite”? A novelette, “Mind in Revolt”, will be available soon to give gamers insight to the story of the upcoming game. The novelette will prequel Infinite letting readers get to know the motivations of characters and the political underpinnings of the Columbian revolt.
Steampunk city in the clouds, Columbia was founded on patriotic, chauvinistic ideals that put loyalty and love for ones country above all else. However, not all its citizens were willing to live by such mandates. Enter the Vox Populi. ‘Mind in Revolt’ examines the beginnings of the conflict that the game is set right smack-dab in the middle of, and illuminates the minds of some of the game’s characters.
Presented in pamphlet style the novelette is intended to get players familiar with the world, its history, politics and characters of the game. Spoiler free this 40 page eBook is the perfect way to get you psyched for “BioShock Infinite” without ruining the plot.
Legendary creator Ken Levine oversaw the writing of the novelette by Joe Fielder so it’s completely canon. Those pre-ordering the game from Amazon will get the eBook free. Everyone else will have to pay $2.99 for a digital download on Feb. 12. “BioShock Infinite” is available for pre-order now from Irrational Games just about anywhere video games are sold. It’s set to release on March 26, 2013.
