Playstation 3 owners with PS Plus subscriptions have a solid line-up of free games being added to the Instant Game Collection in January. Sony announced Thursday which PS4, PS3 and PS Vita titles will be coming to the premium subscription service.
Game of the Year contender BioShock Infinite from Irrational Games leads the charge for the Playstation 3 and looks like it will be the first game that will be available to download free from the PSN Store on Jan. 7, 2014. It will be joined by Devil May Cry reboot, DmC, along with the PSN downloadable title, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.
The PS Vita options as PS Plus owners with the handheld will receive the brain training game, Smart As, and the latest addition in the Worms series, Worms: Battle Island.
Meanwhile, the PS4 gets its third free game with the action-adventure survival game, Don't Starve, where a scientist must craft and build things to survive on a mysterious island while avoiding starvation, insanity, and hostile enemies.
A Playstation Plus subscription is required to gain access to the free games on the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. However, a single subscription is good for all three platforms. It can be purchased directly from the PSN Store for $49.99 for a year or picked up through retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy or GameStop.
Games purchased for free through PS Plus will remain in your Instant Games Collection for as long as your PS Plus subscription is active.
