We hear so many horror stories about the animosity that can exist between a child's biological mother and stepmother. How many times have you heard a stepmother complain about her husband's "crazy ex"? Thankfully, there are times when differences can be put aside and everyone can work together.
Here is an inspirational story of an 8-year old boy who called his bio-mom when he found his pregnant stepmom passed out on the floor.
As Stefan Rogenmoser reported in South Carolina's community publication The Summerville Journal Scene, "Alex was at his Goose Creek home when he found his stepmother on the floor and unresponsive. He called out to try to wake her and shake her several times. After being unable to reach his dad on the phone, he called his biological mother’s phone and she told him to call 911, which he did from the house phone. Alex put both the cell phone he used to call his mother and the land line he used to call 911 in loudspeaker mode and held them about two inches apart so his mother could explain the situation to dispatchers."
While we don't know details about this family's divorce or remarriage situation, we can only imagine that Alex's stepmom will be forever grateful to his bio-mom and hope that all his parents, both bio and step, wil continue to have a healthy co-parenting relationship that Alex will benefit from for years to come.
