NEW YORK, NEW YORK—EDM fans lined a crowded 52nd street as they waited to experience a headlining performance from EDM rising stars, Bingo Players at Roseland Ballroom Saturday, October 19. The performance was a part of their recently announced extensive North American, Rattle and Roll tour that kicked off at LIV in Miami on October 10th with opening artists: MAKJ, Bassjackers, and Carl Tricks.
Roseland Ballroom shook with excitement as glowing fans frolicked outside the venue upon entering the show as thumping bass faded in the distance and on-looking New Yorkers asked those on line what all the hype was about. Unyielding cheers and praise for the Bingo Players radiated from friendly fans, which was a testament to the support and loyalty given towards the EDM duo.
Roseland Ballroom was teeming with overwhelming crowds of youthful EDM followers who jumped, danced, and exuded positive energy to those around, invigorating spirits upon entering. Bingo Players continuously kept the interest of the audience piqued by unleashing an onslaught of heart-pounding tracks that included: Fat Boy Slims’s festival favorite, “Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat,” and TJR’s summer hit, “What’s Up Suckaz.”
Bingo Players also intermixed some of their chart-topping singles: “L’Amour,” “Rattle,” “Buzzcut,” and “Cry” (Just a Litte), which the crowd raucously sang in praise. Throughout the course of the evening, confetti burst from the ceiling, beach balls bounced through the crowd, and smoke poured from the stage, leaving fans immediately chanting for an encore realzing the night was coming to an end. The duo humbly approached the crowd, thanked New York, and within minutes performed “Rattle” as their grand-finale performance.
It is amazing to think that a year ago they had opened for Benny Benassi to a smaller audience at the same venue. After seeing them perform as headlining artists, it is extremely apparent how much they have truly flourished as artists. With a following of thousands of loyal supporters that only continues to grow, the baton has now been passed to the Bingo Players to leave their impression on the world, for they are well on their way to becoming one the most desirable acts in the industry.
Hailing from The Netherlands, Paul Baümer & Maarten Hoogstraten have fused their musical talents into the massive electronic dance duo Bingo Players. The Dutch DJs have created an international reputation through epic releases and a massive touring schedule. Bingo Players kicked off 2013 scoring a world-wide top ten hit with their single Get Up (Rattle), which was a number one single in the UK two weeks in a row.
Bingo Players are not new to charting success. Early on, Paul & Maarten lit up the Beatport charts with a horde of huge tracks including the 2011 hit Cry (Just A Little) and most recently with Out Of My Mind. The duo doesn’t stop at producing hit records and touring the world; they also run their own label. Hysteria is Bingo Players’ label that is home to their hits Rattle, Cry (Just A Little), Out Of My Mind, L’Amour, Mode and many more. When they are not releasing their own music, Bingo Players are releasing records from their favorite artists including Carl Trick’s Mad Dash, Ralvero’s Rage and Gregori Klosman’s Minibar. In a matter of years Bingo Players have climbed DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list to number 52 and now run Hysteria, their own record label that their tracks are released from.
