Binghamton's Roberson Museum and Science Center is working on its major annual fundraiser, the 13th annual Wine & Food Fest, that again will feature New York wines.
More than 30 local restaurants and caterers will be spread around the facility and its courtyard from 5:30 to 8:30 the evening of Thursday, April 18, to offer samples of their foods. And, more than 20 wineries from Cayuga Lake, Seneca Lake and other nearby areas will be pouring samples.
Along with the food and beverages, prizes and auction items will also be available. Last year, the sold-out Wine & Food Fest raised approximately $25,000 for the museum’s educational and public programs.
Says Roberson's PR director Jason Fiume, “We always pride ourselves by having New York state wineries. We’re on pace to sell out this year."
Advance tickets are $40 for Roberson members and $45 for non-members. All tickets are $50 at the door. Roberson is located at 30 Front Street. Phone: (607) 772-0660.
