Bingham Ray dies during Sundance Film Festival

As reported here yesterday, Bingham Ray who had two strokes in the last week succumbed today at the Sundance Film Festival.

The 57 year-old director of the San Francisco Film Society was a cheerleader for Indie film. In my opinion, we have lost an important luminary for independent film.

Ray was surrounded by friends and family according to 'The Wrap'.

Last year we lost Dennis Hopper who was also a bright and shinning light in the indie community.

RIP Bingham Ray. God bless his family and friends with comfort to get through this difficult time.
