Bindi Irwin turns 16-years-old

Monica Rizzo wrote the cover story in the August 4, 2014 issue of People magazine entitled, 'Steve Irwin's Daughter Bindi: I Miss Him Every Day." Bindi Irwin turned 16-years-old on July 24, 2014. According to the Australia Zoo website, Bindi celebrated her birthday by having a huge party at the zoo with the zoo's guests.

Bindi lives at the Australia Zoo in Beerwah with her 50-year-old mother, Terri, and her 10-year-old brother, Robert. There are over 100 different species at the Australia Zoo. Bindi is passionate about animals, like her wildlife expert father, Steve Irwin. Steve, who was the host of The Crocodile Hunter on Animal Planet died on September 4, 2006. He was killed by a stingray while he was filming Ocean's Deadliest. He was 44-years-old. Bindi spoke at the memorial service which was held at the Australia Zoo. November 15 is Steve Irwin Day at the zoo. Bindi misses her father terribly, but she is happy to have had so many amazing experiences with her father. She is determined to continue her father's legacy.

Bindi has made numerous TV appearance. she has also starred in Bindi: The Jungle Girl and Return to Nim's Island. She decided to be a youth ambassador for Sea World because she wants to inspire the next generation.

Bindi is taking community college classes. She likes to go to movies, paddleboard, "Skype bake" with her friends, and listen to AC/DC music. She will be going on an annual crocodile research trip with her family.
