Good Afternoon,

I will be posting the forecast later this afternoon, but first I wanted to get the "weekend storm" out on the wire. This weekend starting Friday afternoon showers will start to move into our region ahead of the next cold front. Rainfall totals for Friday should remain less than 0.50inches.

Saturday another round of showers will move into the region, this time as you can see in the graphic above the low will be moving closer to us, this will allow for heavier rainfall totals may reach 1inch.

Sat Night-Sun AM: This is when the brunt of the storm will move into our region, look for rain showers and thunderstorms to over take the area, we are still monitoring for the potential of severe weather during this time as well, we could see damaging winds, large hail and even a few tornadoes in our region during this time. Make sure to have your NOAA Radio ready for this as it will take place during the evening hours. Rainfall may reach 2inches during this time.

STAY ALERT MS Gulf Coast
