Another warm day as temps rose to the lower 90’s and heat index values made it to near 100F. There have been a few thunderstorms developing this afternoon, nothing severe and no heavy rainfall in the local area, to our east they have had heavier rainfall around the Mobile AL area.
Synoptic Forecast: High pressure to the east of the Mississippi Gulf Coast will again bring another day of onshore flow along with warm and humid conditions, due expect to see isolated afternoon thunderstorms as well.
Forecast for Tonight: Partly cloudy with an isolated thunderstorm, low temps falling to the mid 70’s along with light southwest winds near 5mph.
Friday: Partly cloudy and hot again as high temps rise to near 90F, along with heat index values near 100F, there will be a few isolated afternoon thunderstorms again as well, look for the winds to be out of the southeast around 12mph, low temps will be near 76F.
Saturday: Partly cloudy and warm again with high temps near 92F, heat index values will be near 100F again as well, look for a few later in the afternoon thunderstorms as well, winds from the southwest around 12mph as overnight lows fall to near 77F.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with an isolated afternoon thunderstorm, high temps near 90F, winds from the southwest near 12mph as overnight lows fall to near 75F.
Monday: Partly cloudy with a high temp near 90F, winds from the southwest near 12mph along with heat index values near 100F again, low temps will fall to near 75F.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy and very nice, high temps will only be around 85F, winds from the southeast around 12mph as overnight lows fall to near 74F.
Tropics: There are no areas of concern at this time in the Atlantic or the Gulf of Mexico.
