Hope everyone had a nice New Year's and now it's back to work. Here is our updated weather forecast, we are looking at the COLDEST air of the Season and very well the COLDEST air since 2009-10 winter.
Remainder of Today: Clearing skies and temps will begin to fall this evening to around 28F.
Friday: Partly cloudy and colder with a high near 46F, low temps around 26F. Wind Chill values in the Teens along with Northeast winds near 15mph.
Saturday: Partly cloudy and warmer with a high near 60F, low temps around 45F, winds from the Southeast around 12mph.
Sunday: Mostly Cloudy with showers, high temps near 55F early, then falling to an overnight low near 24F, wind chill values will be in the Single Digits as strong northerly winds hit the area around 22mph.
Extended Forecast: Monday the Arctic air will be over top of us here in the South, high temps only getting into the upper 30's and overnight lows falling to around 18F, along with wind chill values in the SINGLE digits.
Please prepare yourself now as this COLD air will be very unusual for this region and cold have implications from exposed pipes to dangerous wind chill values along with some places possibly freezing after the rain on Sunday.
