Biloxi Travel Blog #3

So you have plans to visit, Biloxi MS this summer, well in our blog update here today, we will look at a few activities that will be of interest for families with younger childern.

#1 Gulf Islands Water Park: What better time than now to visit the water-park with all of it's waterslides, splash pads, small pools, lazy tubing river and also the wave maker, this makes a great outdoor getaway to enjoy during the summer months as temps warm into the 80's and 90's her along the coast. Getting to the waterpark, if you have a rental car and are staying along the Biloxi beaches you will want to travel either HWY 90 or I-10 west to Gulfport MS which is about a 10-15min drive away. Then you will get on HWY 49 and travel north away from Gulfport, you will see signs that direct you to the water park, you will turn west for about 1-1.5miles and the water-park will be there. This is great family fun!!!

#2 Shrimp Boat Tour: This is another chance for you to see something that is unique to the Biloxi area, you will be provided a guided tour through the Mississippi Sound on a shrimp boat, during the tour they will show you how shrimping is done from releasing the nets to bringing in the catch. To take advantage of this tour, you will want to go to the Biloxi Small craft harbor located behind the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino along HWY 90 in Biloxi.

#3 Big Fun Park: Located on HWY 90 in Western Biloxi, here the kids can enjoy a round of put-put golf, or jump in the bounce houses along with riding down the large inflatable slides that are located throughout the park, there are even water activities for the kids to enjoy here as well. To get to the park you want to travel from downtown Biloxi along HWY 90 Westward until you see the signs located on the north side of the HWY90.

These are just a couple of ideas beside heading to the beach for the day.
