On this episode or blog post, we will be looking at the Gulfport-Biloxi Airport and what services they have to offer if you plan on flying in to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The airport itself is situated just to the north of Gulfport downtown area, this means to get to Biloxi its about a 15min taxi, car or bus ride to the downtown Biloxi area.
Traveling into Biloxi by Air: The following airlines offer service into Biloxi as of (June 6, 2014).
United Airlines, offers daily flights from Houston, you can catch usually 3-4 inbound flight along with 3-4 outbound flights, these flights are conducted with the regional jets.
Delta Airlines, flying in with Delta is very good, with arrivals and departures to the Atlanta GA hub, makes it very easy to get a connecting flight, also Delta offers flights multiple times a day to Atlanta and also is using multiple aircraft from the regional jet to the larger jets such as the Air-Bus.
American Airlines: With American you can catch a flight to their Dallas hub, American airlines does offer multiple flights a day, and all flights at this time are also on the Regional jets.
US Air-Ways: You can catch a flight into Biloxi using this carrier, they offer daily flights via CLT North Carolina. They again like all the other airlines offer Regional Jet service.
Lastly: As of right now you can catch flights starting June 8th via Sun Country, however the catch is that this will be a Casino-Airline charter service offering flights five days a week from St. Pete Florida to Gulfport, along with this airline you will get packages to the Beau Rivage Hotel/Casino to include shuttle service to the resort from the airport along with other great things such as concerts, golfing, walking the beach and boardwalk, fishing in the Gulf along with seeing the local cusine and arts of the coast.
