Taking a look at the weather across the area today, we have high pressure dominating the weather with very warm conditions and plenty of sunshine, high temps are in the mid 90's as of this afternoon, heat index values near 110F.

Here is the Aug 21-22 Forecast for the Beach:

Partly cloudy skies with Southerly winds around 7mph as high temps rise to near 94F, low temps will be around 79F and seas near 2ft. Friday look for partly cloudy skies again with high temps near 96F and heat index values near 112F, overnight lows around 80F and winds from the south around 12mph, seas will be near 2ft.

Aug 21-22 Forecast for Deer Island (Way-point 1)

Partly cloudy skies with high temps near 91F, winds from the southwest around 12mph and seas near 2ft, overnight lows will be around 79F. Friday another partly cloudy day with high temps around 93F, low temps near 79F and winds from the southwest near 14mph along with seas near 3ft.

Aug 21-22 Forecast for Mississippi Sound (Way-point 2)

Partly cloudy skies with high temps near 90F, winds from the southwest around 15mph as overnight lows fall to near 79F and seas near 2ft. Friday again partly cloudy with high temps near 90F, winds from the southwest around 15mph and seas near 3ft as overnight lows fall to near 79F.

Aug 21-22 Forecast for Ship Island (Way-point 3)

Partly cloudy with an isolated late evening t-storm possible, high temps around 90F and low temps near 79F, winds from the southwest near 20mph and seas around 3ft. Friday partly cloudy with another late afternoon t-storm, high temps around 90F and low temps will hit 79F, winds from the southwest around 20mph and seas near 3ft.

Aug 21-22 Forecast for The Open Waters (Way-point 4)

Partly cloudy skies with high temps near 90F, low temps will be at 71F, winds from the southwest around 15mph and seas near 3ft. Friday partly cloudy with high temps near 90F and low temps in the lower 70's, winds from the southwest near 20mph and seas near 3ft.

*TROPICS: We are watching an area of low pressure located to the east of the Windward Islands, this area of low pressure will slowly push west-northwestward through the rest of the week and be near the islands of Cuba and P-Rico this weekend, early next week the system will possibly enter the Gulf of Mexico....Keep it here for the latest marine forecast and also the latest on the tropics.
