Now on to the updated outlook for (November 2013)
The month's Average high temps in the 60-70F range along with average overnight lows in the 50-60F range. Precipitation will come in at 2-4inches for the month. The tropics will see 1 more storm. No impacts for the MS Gulf Coast. Severe weather will be elevated with the potential of 2-4events. Winter weather will also make its mark with the potential of seeing the first frost of the season.
DECEMBER 2013 Outlook
The average high temps for the month will be in the 50-60F range as the average overnight lows will be in the 40-50F range. Precipitation for the month will be in the 2-4in range, no tropics for the month. Severe weather will remain at 2-4 events for the month, while we will see an increase to 2 frost and a freeze event as well.
JANUARY 2014 Outlook
The average high temps will be in the 50-60F range along with the average lows in the 30-40F range. There will also be a couple Arctic Outbreaks that hit the Gulf Coast, we could see extreme temps in the 18-23F range for these events. Precipitation will again be in the 2-4inch range. Severe weather will be around 2-4 events. Frost and Freeze will be high, No snowfall during the month along the coast.
FEBRUARY 2014 Outlook
The month will see average high temps around 50-60F, along with average low temps in the 30-40F range. The potential does exist for another sharp cold air mass to settle in dropping overnight lows in the 20-25F range. Precipitation for the month around 2-4inches again. Severe weather events around 1-2. Frost and Freeze likely.
MARCH 2014 Outlook
Temps will begin to warm as average high temps will rise back into the 60-70F range and low temps will average around 50-60F. There could be a couple extreme overnight lows in the 36-40F range as well, frost will still be possible during the month. Precipitation will increase 4-8inches for the month.
LONG RANGE NOTE: ENSO will remain neutral through the winter, with a slight tick towards El-Nino by March 2014.....
