Bilodeau shines with moguls victory in Sweden Friday

There is a growing possibility that there may be two Canadians on the podium in men's moguls at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.

On Friday, according to the Canadian Press, Alexandre Bilodeau of Montreal, Quebec won the final World Cup men's moguls competition in Are, Sweden for the 2012 season.

Bilodeau, the reigning Olympic champion, posted a score of 26.24 points to beat American Patrick Deneen by 1.11 points.

The major reason why Bilodeau has not won this season until Friday is because his Canadian teammate, Mikael Kingsbury of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec has been so dominant. Kingsbury, who finished in third place in Sweden, had won every moguls event this season prior to Friday in addition to the moguls competition at the 2013 World Freestyle Skiing Championships in Oslo, Norway. However his landing was not smooth on Friday.

Heather McPhie of the United States meanwhile won the women's competition.
