Miley Cyrus’ dad, Billy Ray Cyrus blames Miley Cyrus’ starring role as” Hannah Montana” for destroying their family.

In an exclusive upcoming interview with GQ magazine, Billy Ray Cyrus speaks of his regrets for allowing his daughter to star in Disney’s Hannah Montana series, and discusses how it tore their family apart.

Last fall, Miley Cyrus’ parents, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus announced their plans to divorce, after being married for 13 years.

Billy Ray told GQ magazine that if he could reverse his decision, he would make a very different choice, today.

Miley has been dressing more seductively, and her onstage performances have become increasingly more controversial and sexually charged – the complete opposite of her Hannah Montana persona.

Close to 100,000 girls between the ages of 9 and 15 chose Miley Cyrus as the celebrity who was the worst influence on young girls, their own age.

Considering that this is the second year in a row that Miley Cyrus has won this dubious distinction, you can understand her father’s concern.

Billy Ray Cyrus Blames Himself for Miley Cyrus' Wild Behavior

Billy Ray accepts the blame for Miley’s increasingly scandalous behavior, because he feels that as Miley’s father, he should have interceded.

According to Gossip Cop, Billy Ray Cyrus said in his GQ interview, “I should have said, ‘Enough is enough – it’s getting dangerous and somebody’s going to get hurt’ . . . Honestly, I didn’t know the ball was out of bounds until it was way up in the stands somewhere.”

Billy Ray feels responsible for Miley’s “bong smoking incident, the controversial Vanity Fair shoot photo, and some of Miley Cyrus’ other wild behavior, and confesses that he didn’t know how far things had gone until it was too late.

Billy Ray Cyrus is Afraid for Miley

Billy Ray admits that he’s afraid for his daughter because of some of the people Miley hangs out with.

Expressing his concern, Billy Ray is quoted as saying. “She’s got a lot of people around her that’s putting her in a great deal of danger.”

Let’s hope Miley gets her act together before it’s too late.
