Just as the curtain falls on his daughter's hit show "Hannah Montana", Billy Ray Cyrus has found a way to share the love of the spotlight with another of his offspring: son Trace.
The dynamic duo of Billy Ray and 21-year-old Trace have struck a deal with Syfy and Peacock Productions to co-star in a new weekly television series that investigates conspiracy theories and paranormal activity.
Ghost Hunters meets the X-Files
The show, entitled "UFO: Unbelievably Freakin' Obvious" sounds more like the title of a Hannah Montana song. However, Syfy promises that the Cyrus boys have had a genuine interest in the unknown for quite some time.
In a press release about the show Cyrus said, "The existence of paranormal phenomenon is something I've always wanted to explore further. I hope this series can shine a light on some of the activities we have questioned, and the mysteries that have long inspired us."
For the show, Billy Ray and Trace will travel across the country attempting to find the truth about aliens, political controversies and other unexplained activities by interviewing "witnesses" and uncovering new "evidence." Trace's best friend, "Silent Franky", will provide the pair with important data from his parents' basement, but will have no speaking parts because he's, well..."Silent." Just kidding.
Hhhmmmm....perhaps they'll shine a light on whether or not, if an airplane carrying Heidi Montag were to crash land in an ocean, could she use her Size "G" breasts as personal floatation devices?
Music, acting...ghost busting - they do it all
The elder Cyrus is no stranger to the limelight. After breaking onto the music scene with his hit song "Achy, Breaky Heart", he went on to fame on the television entertainment scene starring with his daughter Miley on the hugely popular Disney show, "Hannah Montana", then went on to compete on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" , and then co-hosted the singing competition, "Nashville Star."
Like his father, Trace is first and foremost, a musician. The tattoo-baring former singer/guitarist who was a part of the band Metro Station (they had a hit song in '08 called "Shake it") is currently working on a debut album with his new band, Ashland High.
Carrying on the family's new love of acronyms, Miley is currently in Paris filming a movie called "LOL: Laughing Out Loud" that also stars Demi Moore and "The Twilight Saga's", Ashley Greene. The film is a remake of a popular French movie of the same name.
Said Caroline S of Cincinnati, "I'd watch Billy Ray's new show! It sounds kind of interesting."
Cincinnati: Will you watch the Cyrus men's new show?
