Billy Mays died from heart disease according to preliminary autopsy reports

Autopsy reports show that Billy Mays died from hypertensive heart disease and not from a head injury sustained during a rough landing at Tampa International Airport. Foul play was ruled out and a preliminary autopsy report suggested that there were no signs of head trauma. Billy Mays was scheduled for surgery today for his hip and was taking pain medication. Many speculated that his sudden death might have been attributed to the prescription drugs he was taking or a head injury. There is no evidence that pain medication was related to the cause of death. The full autopsy results are expected between 8 and 10 weeks.  At that time the final cause of death will be determined.
