Following a remarkable show at the Brooklyn Barclays Center in New York for 'New Year's Rockin' Eve', Billy Joel will take his piano to South Florida on Jan. 7, 2014.

Joel anticipated during his performance, "This is actually the first time I've played Brooklyn since I was about 17” after signing “Souvenir” and before the countdown to midnight. He played in front of 20,000 fans and the set list included the hit “New York State of Mind” and songs from his early musical years like “Until the Night”(1972).

The piano man concluded the year with great news after becoming a music franchise of the Madison Square Garden. In a press conference from Dec. 3, 2013 officials announced that Joel “will play the arena as long as there is demand”. For instance, once a month in 2014, so far all dates from January until April are sold out at the Garden. For Joel "a show a month at the Garden for as long as there's demand means more opportunities to connect with music fans and provides a unique and memorable show every time we play here."
