Billy Graham is reaching out to people in a nationwide effort all across America in possibly one of the largest events of his life’s ministry.
“If ever there was a time this country needed the intervention of God, it is now,” Billy Graham said. “We can and should pray for America as a whole, but remember that when God sets out to change a nation, He begins by changing people. It starts with individuals. The more I pray, the more deeply I feel that My Hope America is the right outreach for this country today.”
As part of the My Hope with Billy Graham, the evangelistic outreach event scheduled for Nov. 7 – Nov. 10, 2013 will coincide with the pastor’s 95th birthday.
According to the Associated Press, a major celebration is planned for Billy Graham’s 95th birthday. His son, Franklin Graham, announced earlier this month that between 600 and 700 people have been invited to the Nov. 7, party in Asheville, N.C. The Rev. Franklin Graham says among the invitees are President Bill Clinton, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and real estate mogul Donald Trump.
Combining the impact of video programs with the power of personal relationships, My Hope America with Billy Graham follows a simple biblical model, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Unlike traditional large-scale evangelistic events, this outreach is designed for Christians. Whether they are pastors, ministry leaders, or lay persons, all are encouraged to extend an invitation to guests and host a viewing in a chosen venue, possibly even a home.
The Christian Post reported, “More than 25,000 churches have signed up for My Hope, including some of the largest congregations in America who see this as an opportunity to share the Gospel at a level never quite seen before.”
Christians across America will open their homes this November to share the Gospel message with friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors using one of several new evangelistic programs and powerful messages from Rev. Graham.
Just last week, Graham was hospitalized for precautionary pulmonary tests. He was sent home on Thursday.
Preparations are still underway for Rev. Graham’s message titled "The Cross" which is being filmed from his home in North Carolina. Several television stations will carry the broadcast for My Hope America with Billy Graham. Visit their website to view your local listings. Rev. Graham’s hope message is also available on iTunes.
