The Buffalo Bills hit the road for the first time in the 2013 NFL season with a game against their AFC East rivals the New York Jets on Sunday, September 22nd at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey; kick-off is 4:25 p.m.
The Jets are headquartered at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center in Florham Park, New Jersey and play their home games at the MetLife Stadium. Located in the Meadowlands Sports Complex, State Hwy. 120 in East Rutherford, the stadium is shared by the Jets and the New York Giants - the only NFL stadium shared by two teams. Opened April 10th, 2010, the stadium holds over 82,000 spectators and will host Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014 - the first Super Bowl in the New York metro area and the first held in a non-domed stadium in the northern U.S.
In addition to MetLife Stadium, Meadowlands Sports Complex is home to the Meadowlands Racetrack for thoroughbred and harness racing, and the IZOD Center, the former home of the New Jersey Nets of the NBA and the New Jersey Devils of the NHL; it is also home to the Timex Performance Center, the main headquarters and training facility of the New York Giants.
MetLife Stadium features more than 800 concession areas throughout, with a variety of food options. Premium food concessions include Bubba Burgers, Papa John’s Pizza, Mrs. Field’s the Food Network, Campbell’s Soup and the Captain Morgan Club.
A few tickets are still available for the Bills/Jets game through www.ticketmaster.com; prices range from $65 to $710 (plus taxes and fees).
