Bill O'Reilly said Whitney Houston's cause of death was suicide. The conservative talk show host of Fox News' O'Reilly Factor said that Bobbi Kristina Brown's mom, who battled drug addiction for many years, wanted to die from a life of darkness.
Like Glenn Beck, the conservative talk show host is known for his off-the-cuff remarks that include fear mongering, inspiring hate, and matters of insensitivity. In the case of Houston's death, the latter is why he is under fire for his recent brackish remarks, according to an E! Online story.

If you tuned in to the local Bright House or Verizon Fios program for Fox News in Tampa Bay on Monday night, you would have embraced O'Reilly's comments, or gasped after calling them callous.
Based on a small, unscientific poll of Bay Area residents in Hillsborough County, many are likely in the latter group. For those who remember in 1991 when the songstress sang the Star Bangled Banner at the Super Bowl in Tampa Bay, O'Reilly's comments were toxic to their surrogate diva.

While family, friends, and fans of the late Whitney Houston await a cause of death report from the autopsy report, one man seems to know how the singer died suddenly.
"Nobody takes drugs for that long if they want to stay on the planet. She follows in the footsteps of Elvis, Janis Joplin, Michael Jackson, and scores of other entertainment figures. The hard truth is that some people will always want to destroy themselves, and there's nothing society can do about it." ~ Bill O’Reilly's speculation on Whitney Houston's cause of death.
The first problem with this is the talk show host is not an expert in death investigations. Secondly, his remarks have created a fire storm from fans of the singer. Here are some comments posted on the E! Online site:
"Very sad-insensitive comment by Bill. Whitney was obviously depressed * docs prescibe pills for that. The drugs can horrible side effects * sometimes alcohol provide a quick relief. RIP Whitney and we pray that your daughter will make it thru this." ~ Karen
"I am not an O'Reilly fan, but what he said is pretty much accurate. Shame on the doctors that prescribed the pills and shame on her "friends" that were with her and allowed her to drink. She is a recovering alcoholic/addict * that means no alcohol and no drugs." ~ Mark
To Bill O'Reilly's credit, there are two sides to every story. Ironically, the comments from readers and those who tuned in to The O'Reilly Factor Monday are mixed. However, one could make a strong case against the timing.
Weigh in Tampa Bay residents. What did you think of his comments (from the video) on Monday regarding Whitney Houston's cause of death?
