Bill Nye has an injury from "DWTS." While dancing during week two, Nye tripped and fell at the end of his Pasodoble and he ended up really injuring himself. On Sept. 25, it was reported (via MSN TV) that Nye may actually need surgery on his knee.
Nye, 57, showed off his injury on Instagram (see photo) saying that he has a partially torn ligament. Ouch! "Here is the scoop: partially torn ligament. Awaiting the doc's orders with Tyne. We plan to dance! Stand by..." Nye wrote. This isn't the first time that someone has been seriously injured on the show -- and, most of the time, these celebs work though the pain.
Bill Nye's injury could put "DWTS" on the back burner for him depending how bad it really is. Often times stars go against doctors orders and try to stick it out -- and since this really is a once in a lifetime experience, Nye will likely do the same... even if it means he could worsen his injury.
If Nye and Tyne Stecklein do end up dancing next Monday night, they will be doing a jive. With all of this downtime, however, it won't be surprising if Nye is less than prepared for his dance. Although he isn't great, he has become a fan favorite and many think that he could stick around for a couple of more weeks. Is it worth it for him to push his limits?
Will the Bill Nye injury drop him from "DWTS" competition?
