Bill Nye the science guy might be a bigger competitor on Dancing With the Stars than most people have given him credit for. The premiere of the reality show last week left Bill Nye in last place with the judge's score, but it seems the fans are impressed with him. According to the host of Dancing With the Stars, the dancing scientist broke a major milestone on Saturday night with over 2.7 million views of the first dance on YouTube.
"BTW, @TheScienceGuy and @TyneStecklein's premiere DWTS dance has the most YouTube views of ANY dance in DWTS history! #hotknowledge,” tweeted Tom Bergeron from his official Twitter account on Saturday night.
With dozens of competitors on Dancing With the Stars, the idea that someone like Bill Nye has been seen more than any other competitor’s dance on YouTube is fascinating and shocking. It reminds everyone not to cross off any competitor until the fans have spoken. Perhaps the judge’s low scores rallied the fans to help Bill Nye to stay in the competition and people wanted to see exactly how Bill Nye moved.
