Bill Howell, part of the local political process as a “Bonus Member”

Local Estes Park resident William Howell had the honor of being nominated for the position of “bonus member” of the Larimer County Central Committee Executive Board. In layman’s language, he’s part of the new leadership and direction on the GOP in Larimer County. He was nominated for the position by Republican Senator Kevin Lundberg.

An overview of the position:

  • Member of the Larimer County Republican Central Committee.
  • He is one of sixteen members.
  • Voted on all state GOP officers.
  • Part of the events committee, drawing Republicans back to the Party.
  • Helping to bring in the Hispanic vote through the assistance of other Hispanic organizations.

Bill says, “This is an exciting time for us, as everyone on the Board has fresh new ideas to get the party back to where it should be.” Bill believes compromise is inevitable in political, but says, “there has to be a point where a stand on one’s principles has to be made and that is where I believe our party is lacking.” Personal responsibility and being held accountable for his actions are high on his list.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Bill has been making political waves in Estes since 2003. He’s a proud member of the Tea Party Patriots of Estes Park, and was heavily involved in helping his wife, Judy, run the Estes Park GOP Office during the 2012 election. He has been the Chairman and Vice Chairman La Verdad “The Truth”, and he is developing a group of “Concerned Colorado Hispanics” to reach out to the Hispanic community on economic and social issues.

In the local community, Bill is a member of Sunrise Rotary and a board member of the Estes Park Gun and Archery Club.

Before arriving in Estes, he served as a law enforcement officer for almost 28 years as a Deputy Sheriff with the County of Los Angeles.

Congratulations to Bill Howell!
