Telling an epic, war-torn love story through an electrifying soundtrack, ‘Miss Saigon’ a musical based on Puccini’s startling opera, ‘Madame Butterfly,’ makes her way to the North Shore Music Theatre stage Tuesday, November 5 through Sunday, November 17!
Set in Saigon and the United States, ‘Miss Saigon’ with music by Claude Michel-Schonberg and lyrics Richard Maltby Jr and Alain Boublil, tells the story of star-crossed lovers Kim and Chris and what happens when they are separated during the fall of Saigon.
The music of ‘Miss Saigon,’ by the creators of ‘Les Miserables,’ delivers a roller coaster of emotions with raw, upbeat musical numbers such as ‘The Heat is On,’ and ‘The American Dream’ to wondrous ballads such as ‘Why God Why’ and ‘Last Night of the World.’ Some parts of ‘Miss Saigon’ might not be suitable for all ages.
