Bill Gates on gay ban: Boy Scouts needs to end gay ban, 'it's 2013' says Gates

The term “Bill Gates on gay ban” has become a trending topic on major search engines tonight, as ABC News reported this Thursday, March 14, that Bill Gates recently spoke out on the Boy Scouts of America, saying that it’s 2013 and thus time to lift the ban on gay members and leaders.

Under the headline, “Bill Gates on gay ban: Lift the gay ban”, sources report that the billionaire Microsoft co-founder was vocal on his opinion surrounding gay admittance into the Boy Scouts of America this Wednesday night.

After the ex-Boy Scout was asked whether the organization should lift the ban on any gay members joining, Gates said that it “absolutely” needs to end it.

After being asked why he thinks the gay ban should be removed, Bill Gates simply said:

“Because it’s 2013.”

The crowd quickly burst into applause at the response. The billionaire also spoke a little on immigration policy as a big issue in U.S. job growth, and that the dubbed sequestration is certainly troubling.

“You don’t run a business like this,” Gates added, speaking of the federal government's decisions. “This is a non-optimal path … a business that is maximizing its output would proceed along a different path.”
