Bill Cosby: Famous comedian making his TV comeback in NBC family comedy

In an effort to save the world from "dumb TV parents" and the sitcoms that just aren't cutting it, one of the premiere TV dads is returning to the small screen. Per People on Jan. 22, 2014, Bill Cosby announced that he will be coming back to television with a new family comedy for NBC.

Late last year, Bill Cosby did reveal that he had another primetime family comedy in the works, but there was no mention of him starring in it.

Now, it has been confirmed that Cosby has signed a deal with NBC to not only develop that new half-hour family sitcom, but also star in it. The series will be produced by Tom Werner, whose company produced the famous series, "The Cosby Show," back in the 80s.

It has been 14 years since the 76-year-old Bill Cosby has starred in a TV series, but he's sick of what has been presented to viewers on TV since then. Cosby even said that people come up to him in public places asking, "Can't you put something on that I can watch?"

This isn't the only project that Bill Cosby has going either.

An updated version of the animated series, "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids" is being worked on by the comedian as well. Old age and death hoaxes are doing nothing to slow Bill Cosby down.
